I have the vent window rebuilt with the channel in. I have new window channel in the top and down the inside of the door. Window regulator is in. I can't seem to get the window glass in. I am missing something in the sequence.

Jerry, its one of those deals where the wind has to be blowing just right, your right foot has to be pointing northeast, and your left arm has to be shaven.
Seriously though,,its a deal where you first slide the window onto the regulator, then with the window at just the right height, slide the wing window assembly down into place. DONT force it,you may have to roll the window up or down some to get the wing window assembly into place.
once again,,DONT force it,youll crack the window.
Ive done bunches of these and they dont get any easier, especially with all new parts.
Shoot, if i was a lil closer,id come over and do it for ya. Marty

jerry, the pics. that Alan has posted on his website are a perfect example of how the window has to be tilted,,rolled up part way,,etc....
read his explanations of how it goes together, and (if i didnt mention this before) DONT force it.
once you get the first one together, youll understand it and the next one will be somewhat clearer. (dont force it)
happy holidays,Marty

Yup. It's a bear, alright ... but, like Marty says, don't force it. Just keep coaxing it ... take your time ... pay attention ... and it all happens in a pleasing way.
