I picked up a set of stainless bed strips and angle covers (no holes) at the St. Louis swap for a hundred.

My bed is across town with my strips.

What is the difference in the 47-53 vs the 54 bed strips.

I got the 54 repainted and ready to put together and wanted the strips for them but if all else fails the 53 can use them down the line.

They are 77 inches long. Are the holes stamped in different places?

What's the difference?

If those strips have holes punched for 47-53 beds, I would recommend using them in a 47-53 bed. If you are bound to use them in the 54, it could be done, but most holes would be in the wrong places. This affects at least your cross sill placement, alignment to existing angle strips, bed to frame hole locations, and front bed panel mounting holes. Hold them beside your 54 angle strips on your bed sides to see the differences.

Thanks,

I plan on comparing the two when I can get the parts in the same location.

I figured they were the same length with different hole locations between body styles.
