Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2 | I bought a 48' chevy 1/2 ton sight unseen, everything is great except the runningboard apron and fenders don't line up. I have been under the bed trying to figure it out. So maybe you guys can help. The builder used 3" steel square tubing as a mounting spacer in the front, the rear has the wood block with rubber spacer 2 1/2" tall. My problem is the runningboard apron shows about a 1" to 1.5" gap from the bottom of bed to of apron. The curve in the running board apron doesn't line up with the curve on the fender, looks bad. I think the bed is too high. Is it easier to lower the bed or shim the running boards to fit the fenders? Any suggestions? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 406 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 406 | Do you still have the stock gas tank under the bed?

I checked the clearance with fill line running to the tank, I think I've got a good inch before the fill line bumps the frame rail | | |
