I just need to know how far I can expand my search for a replacement. I want to stay stock so Fenton Headers are not an option.
Also, does anyone know where I can find one?
Tom

A 270 exhaust manifold will probably fit a 235 with some work, but not sure if the ports would be an exact match, or whether the alignment rings will still be usable...probably not. Also doubtful if the Chev header pipe would mate up to the 270 exhaust flange.

I have a 270 with an exhaust manifold that was cracked and at some time in the past was welded and ground down. I want to replace this manifold but finding 270 parts is not as easy as some may think.
I am getting my engine back from the shop with a complete rebuild and I now need replacement parts for the bolt on parts and pieces that are in bad shape. To make a long story short, I need a new exhaust manifold that will fit the 270 in my 55 1st, 3/4 ton GMC.
Any help that you may be able to lend would be much appreciated.
Tom

Any GMC exhaust manifold should mate up OK to your 270 head...but it may not dump in the same place. There are some good resources for used GMC parts at Inliners try Larrowe & Sons or Langdon's Stovebolt. Even if you don't want duals, Kansas Kustoms may be able to repair your old manifold. And certainly don't forget OldCarKook

Do you know of any around the FC or Loveland areas?
Thanks,
Tom
