Is it common for the Panels to share characteristics, like badging or other physicalities, between years? Ours is a 65 by VIN, but as far as we can see its a '66 with cues from '65..

Just curious, is all.

Well, when dealing with old trucks, the body styling tends to carry over more than the cars did. With cars, back then annual changes were expected on cars, not like today where they all look the same and you can't tell one brand from another, let alone the year. Now trucks (panels/'Burbs included) got away with less changes, as they were intended for work, styling was secondary. So in the case of your '65, the body is the same other than some minor trim (the side badge location and shape) from '64-'66.

yes it does; i have another question though; do you know where I might find a patch panel for the passenger rear quarter? because it was somehow squished by the previous owner.. [to the point, that you can no-longer see the reverse light-lol]

I figure this one may unfortunately mean junkyard hopping.

Happy hunting. Not much availible in aftermarket for our addiction. I do know where a solid body is. Phoenix craigslist and type in Wickenburg. It's been on there a while for $1500. It's probably negotiable now.

ps: are you sure thats a 66? lol - it looks a little older.. pre-65, even. I dont know if the quarters are quite right there.. darn.

It's a '64-'66 GMC, but it isn't a 'Burb like stated. it's actually a Panel that's had windows added, possibly uses as a bus or transport for people at one time (prison truck?, I've seen 'em done like that).

ONE more question; are there ANY parts places for the panels and suburbans? .. especially the rear end?

I guess that's what would make these trucks fairly rare, in good shape.

just need the bottom corner, passenger side, where the lights are, basically. It's got no rust; its just been pinched by a previous accident, including the reverse light (as stated).
