Ive got a 52 panel w/a 68 250 engine. I dont know what tranny is in it. Its a 4 on the floor w/a granny 1st gear I dont even use, if that helps. The rear tires are about 4" forward from stock. Anyways the clutch pedal just went to the floor & aint comin back up. Dont know crap about clutches & trannys. About how much scratch do yall think am I lookin at to have a clutch job done? Also,man I am confused,Is a T-5 tranny an automatic or a standard? Thanks ahead of time,you guys have helped me a lot on this site! Jeff

A T5 is a manual transmission made for Ford vehicles by Borg-Werner. It was used in a variety of vehicles, but most enthusiasts seek the V-8 version, used in Mustangs (and a few T-Birds) from the early 80s to mid-90s.

For clutch pricing, it depends on who does it, I suggest estimating about 3-5 hours of labor. Maybe ~$125 for parts? Not sure on parts prices...

Hmmm, that I don't know. I understood it was a Ford-only thing, and that there was a converter.

Maybe the later-model GM 5-speeds were T5s also?

EDIT: Whoops. Yes, there was a T5 for GM also. From a quick Google search, they were in used in F-Body cars, Astro vans, trucks, and perhaps other models. My bad, sorry!
