I know that in the past I have adjusted for this with that set screw on top of the sector. I also know you can really mess it up by playing around with it . Does anyone have information on how to go about this, I just cant remember the procedure.

If there is looseness in the input shaft you can loosen the lock ring & tighten down the adjustment nut just enough to remove the looseness. You can tighten down the adjust screw on top but very little. Go about 1/4 turn & try it out. If it binds or doesn,t feel right back it off. If the play is excessive you will need a reman. box.
