I read about a guy that lowered his front end by removing the leaves, taking them apart, removing the 2nd longest one and turning the other two around to re-arch the longest. This sounds like a cheap way to do it. Has anyone done this before?

1. a dropped axel

Went with mono's on the front and am not happy with the ride quality (too harsh). I'm thinking about a dropped axle and going back to my stock springs with maybe a couple of leaves removed. It will bottom out easier though .

Shorter gas shocks are an essential part of the conversion.
Takes a little while to break in, but much better than stock height and ride.
They never bottom out and are smooth.
Jim Durant makes and distributes them to the vendors.
