What started out as (I had hoped) a simple brake job to get a beater truck back on the road has gotten considerably more involved. Thought I'd share a few pics of my project as it currently sits instead of just asking questions and complaining. :-)

Picture 3 A bit of rust in the ol' tailgate ... or is there just a bit of tailgate?

Picture 5 Then today I removed the bed to make it easier to get to the brake lines, etc.

Picture 7 Anyone else see a problem here?
Virtually an entirely new brake setup is on its way from various places. Picked up some parts locally already, ordered other stuff online. Unfortunately for my wallet, now that I can see what I'm facing and know the springs need to be replaced, I'm now thinking about pulling the rearend out entirely and rebuilding the whole thing. Gotta take the springs off anyway and the brakes are going to be completely new, so it'd be a shame to put all those new parts on a rusty old rearend, right? C'mon, guys — back me up here! :-D
That's all for now. Thanks for all the help!
Brent
