The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Horn Button Identification

In one of my "accumulations" I got a steering wheel complete with horn button assembly and steering gear box. The steering wheel is a 3 spoke which makes me think this is from a Chevy truck. On the steering gearbox it has SAGINAW GEAR on one side and the letters I and O on the other side with casting numbers 268733. I will include the picture of the horn button. Any help in identifying the year and or vehicle would be much appreciated.

I would guess that's a wheel and horn button from a car in the late 30's early 40's era. Up through 40, the cars had three spoke wheels, and similar to what your showing horn buttons.

The back of the wheel on the cars weren't quite as deep as the trucks, but had the same splines.
