I have misplaced the screws that attach the lower end of the window channel to the door. These are the two that go in from the outside. Can anyone tell me what size and head type these screws ar, so I can get more at the hardware store? I'm not picky about them being clutch head screws. Are they perhaps 12 x 1/2" coarse thread sheet metal screws?

For the price of screws, nuts, and bolts, I would order them all from Chevy Duty or American Classic or etc. Then you know (hope) they are the right stuff.

I repeat! It helps when you tell what year truck you are working on.

Stainless fasteners from the hardware store should work fine. I don't know what size you need though. I don't even know what your truck is.

I think mine on my 53 3100 were just a sheetmetal screw # 8 maybe?

Oops. It's a '48 half ton. Big Chevy, I'd order them from one of the vendors, but I didn't see them listed. I already have the truck 90% together, so it wouldn't make sense to buy one of those all inclusive fastener kits at this point.
