Can anyone tell me who makes data platse for a '53.
I found my VIN on my engine....but the DMV wants its on the engine and also visible. They said I could get a plate stamped to match?????

www.datatags.com makes reproduction data plates I think.

I got mine for my 42 also from one of the vendors. I bought a metal stamping kit and stamped it. I just registered it yesterday. The wanted a tracing or digital photo of the vin plate. Not one problem and the truck had not been registered in at least 25 yrs. It was the easiest time I've ever had at the DMV
