I know the VIN tag is supposed to be on the driver side door post between the two door hinges (a bit closer to the bottom hinge). My problem is that it's not there. It doesn't even have the rivet holes at all. Is there some other place that the VIN will be on the P/U? I know what the actual VIN is based on the registration, but I'm looking for someplace on the truck itself. I know that some of the earlier trucks only had the VIN tag and a serial # on the engine, but I'm not certain if the 1951 fits into this category. Would there be a stamp on the frame somewhere?

It won't have a tag anywhere else besides the body serial number tag on the left door post.
You can buy a new tag and stamp the serial number on it.

Where would I be able to buy a new tag? I've looked and haven't really found anywhere to do so.

Check with Jim Carter's or one of the other vendors for Advance Design trucks.
