Has anyone put a booster from CCP in a truck?
I need some help with installing a power brake booster in my 55 1st serie 1/2 ton Chevy truck. The Booster is from CCP. The booster is right now mounted on the frame but the rod that comes out the booster/cylinder that needs to be connected with the brakepadelarm doesn't meet the arm right. It kinda comes from an angle and I don't trust to just put a bolt through to connect it. The original rod from the cylinder is screwed on a U-joint which is mounted with the brakepadelarm. I had to modify both of the mounting brackets, I had to cut the mounting feet off of both of them to make them fit properly, one was on a 52 one ton and the other was a 49 half ton. The frames on these trucks constantly taper from back to front, and it looks like the brackets are made to work on frame rails that are parallel.
