Say Peggy or John, it might be a nice touch to put a line or two with a little information about the picture on the front page when you change it. I attended a metal spinning forum and milling machine for many years and the hosts would change the picture every month and offered a brief describe of the projects that were pictured on the front page.
Just a thought.

I enjoy that front page feature and the fact that it keeps changing. It is nice to see that people are able to have a project on the go while raising a family!

Yeah, I agree. The pictures are just begging for a caption. It's good to see the young ones enjoying our hobby too.

http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/etes_tim_1955.html If you want to know who? Just put the mouse curser over the picture it says who's it is. Then just go to their gallery write up. Peggy only has what info given her with the pictures. So give extra info with picture submits.

I got a great pic of a Deco truck parked on a nude beach circa 1970 that would look smashing on the front page. smile

Oh yea, Frank you bet!

:blat:

Squeeze told me about including the alternate text AND a title so folks can do the mouse-over. I actually didn't want to post them ... just to see who's paying attention grin

Always like the kid shots. Or those real unique ones ... like Mike Boteler's fire truck spraying water in the air.

Speaking of unique ...

Do you know how to catch a Unique Rabbit?

Unique up on it.

How do you catch a Tame Rabbit?

Tame Way, Unique up on it.

It's Saturday ....

Oops! I forgot about that that curser thing, thanks for reminding me.
Still wouldn't mind the caption though.
See, here's the thing, I just spent 15 min looking for Tim Estes 55 truck. After going to the Gallery, '55'-'57' doing a "FIND - Tim" never did find it, finaly gave up.

Oh no worries. Plus, you can always post in here and say "Hey, who's that good-lookin' kid on the cover?" That way, people who don't normally come "in" through that door will go look. Maybe including the person who truck happens to be in the photo with the kid!

I'll keep in mind the "caption" idea. Right now, all I have to do is switch out the picture and update the data on the page. Make a note of the date and zip I'm outta there.

How do crazy people go through the forest?

They take the psycho path
