I just bought new brake shoes and a lot of other brake parts for my '59 Apache panel half ton. It looks like they gave me the exact same shoes for both the front and rear. They are two different brands, but they look the same. Can anyone tell me if the front and rear should be the same or did they give me the wrong ones? Thanks....

My book shows 59 up as being the same. 228 part #. 2" wide.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

the only difference would be width - my general 5-9 list shows Raybestos#228RP front [2"], Raybestos#55RR [1.75"] for rear, shape, length, thickness the same - but if the rear drums will take 2" ..... why not?

think I'll hafta investigate my stash of drums grin
