well i got the 48, coe motor in my 51 3100 truck it was a lot of work but it was worth it, i can,t believe how smooth and quiet it is, now comes the body work, that should be much easer, i just need to find a few parts, like a gas tank, the po parked it 11 years ago with a full tank of gas, what a mess that was, the tank is shot, were having fun now,,

Hey pushrod, before you buy a new gas tank, consider reconditioning your existing one. Go to www.gastankrenu.com and check out their site. it's amazing what they can do with a rusty old gas tank.

I remember as we were pushing my 59 truck up into the driveway and the old tank was dripping out the varnish that was left in there.

My brother looked at the mess coming out and down the driveway and said "Great, now everyone will want one"

A new tank really makes it easy and there is no fear of junk, gunk, or funk. Stuff it in and then hook up wires hoses and yer gone.

Then again, might be an excuse to look at relocation....
