I bought a new one for the '67. Good thing to, as not only was it missing some of the knobs, but I came to find that a couple of the linkages were broke. Nothing worked, except that it would blow heat.

I changed the panel today, only to find that apparently one of the doors that the panel is s'posed to control is almost rusted shut. I guess I'll have to take that apart and fix it.

I worked with it as long as I could stand it, and then just hooked the panel up.

The fan still works, and it still blows heat, which I'll need since winter is coming.

I can't wait till it gets dark tonight so I can go and see the panel "lit up". The bulbs work.

I'm really no better off than I was before, excedpt that it looks better. That's okay with me. Now I understand how it works, and what I need to do to fix it.

A small step is better than no step. It's kind of like bending over to pick up a penney that someone dropped. Most people won't do it but I will. Shoot, 100 of them and I've got an extra dollar plus it's good exercise.
