I recently traded my 1968 impala for a 1956 3100 short bed this is my first truck project and I was wondering what companies produce quality replacement parts for these trucks also do any companies make a firewall kit for this model someone put in a V8 and used a hammer to make room for the distribitor.

welcome to the garage DB, always good to see more TF trucks aboard grin

for repro suppliers check out the links page here, most are recommended by someone, and mostly the parts they carry are all from the same mfgrs - much of the common 'hard parts' for the Task Force series are available from yer local mom and pop or NAPA, like brakes and driveline stuff

if a V8 is properly installed in these trucks, which had optional V8's originally, there should be no need to abuse the firewall, tho prolly one of the hot rod places will have a modified firewall available - a small block with an hei will fit fine, if a bit snug .... maybe you can straighten things out
