Ive got a 55 2nd series pickup that I have replaced the cab on. I bought a new set of cab mounting bolts that comes with an array of washers, shims, bushings, bolts, ect... Has anyone replaced the cab on their truck and used one of these kits? The kit did not come with any directions, so any guidance would be great. Thanks.

On the front bolts, there should be 2 shims and 2 rubber pads that have the same shape, a rectangle with a slot in it. Those go in the front, between the mount bracket and the frame, 1 of each per side. The shim goes on top. For the rear, there should be 2 rectangle and 2 round rubber bushings, along with 2 spacers. These are installed as follows- trom top-rectangle bushing,frame bracket,spacer, round bushing, washer, lock washer, bolt. The rectangle bushung installed so that the long side is parallel with the frame.
I hope this helps. I would suggest that you get a shop manual and an assembly manual, they come in very handy when you dissamble stuff.

Thanks for your response to my question about mounting the cab on my 55 chevy pu. Just wanted to clarify a few points before i bolt the cab on.
Do the thinner bolts or the thicker bolts go to the front?
So for the front, the metal shim goes in between the frame mounting bracket and the floor of the cab, with the similar shaped rubber pad under the metal shim.
Then for the rear, the rectangular rubber pad goes in between the floor and the cab mounting bracket, with the protruding round opening up or down?
THen the spacer, is that the small piece of metal pipe? Does that go inside of the round rubber bushing?

I do have the factory assembly manual in front of me, but it is not very clear. It shows the rear mount as having the bolt coming from under that cab and the nut being inside the cab. I thought the bolt heads were all inside the cab.

Yes, the thinner bolts are for the rear mounts.
Sounds like you have the front shims in the right place. I have the rubber pad on top of the shims. It is an anti squeak device I think it will do more good on top against the floor.
The rectangular pad goes on top of the mounting bracket with the round pointing down, it fits in the hole in the mounting bracket.
Yes on the spacer pipe.
The factory bolts did come up from below and into nuts that were permanently mounted on the floor inside the cab. After 50+ years who knows what work has been done to your truck. When I rebuilt my cab I had to replace the cab supports and that eliminated the factory nuts so I now mount my cab with bolt head inside the cab and the nut below.
