This morning I watched the local annual Forth of July Patriots Parade.
I was especially impressed with the quality of trucks representing The Wheat State Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society (

Most impressive and interesting was an old auto transport from a by-gone era, complete with autos being transported. It held four.
The aforementioned chapter has secured the National AHTS convention/gathering/show for 2008 to be held at the Kansas State Fairground in Hutchinson, KS.
Even if you aren't a member or don't have your own ride ready you should still plan on attending this event. It is bound to be a good one.
Expect I'd better go join the group myself so as to get some first hand information.
