Hey, I was noticing a lot of rattling from inside the cab and I wanted to find out what was going on, so I checked behind my seat and I found two bows, both for the headliner. I also found what I think is a door sill plate. It has a badge stamped on that says "Body, Fisher" with a picture of a wagon in the background. I didn't even know these trucks HAD sill plates. Anyway, these things must have been removed a long time ago since they are almost in new condition, except for some paint chipping and a small ding in the center bow of the headliner. I think it may be time to put some sort of headliner in there, because I think I've seen enough rust for a while, not to mention the noise whenever it rains ( I could hear it from inside the house!!!). So I am wondering, were headliners made of cardboard or cloth, how do they go together, and was it just the ceiling of the cab that was upholstered, or did the area around the back windows have upholstery too?

My 39 has a fiberglass insert... looks like the original, and you dont have to mess around with the cardboard.

Another quality post.
