Where did you get the trucks? Direct from stores? or what? Just curious. It's been discussed a lot on here about the eventual fate of these "product displays" when Old Navy changes theme. What about a title?

| | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 | I was at Chevy Duty on Saturday, December 9th and a fellow came in there to pick up the one in the front parking lot, with three flat tires and one in the showroom. The guys at the City Counter were not aware he would be there to pick them up. He was in search of an air compressor to air up the flat tires. They must have come into a few of these trucks and keep a few for display and turned loose the rest of them.
I wish they were 4-5-6 Chevy trucks! Happy Holidays.

I went to one store in a mall in San Jose and the hood was half way open, It had a 235 in it. Someone had removed the Carb. Another store around here has an old F@rd instead of a Chevy. There are about 6-8 stores within 35 miles of my house.
I need a digital camera to prove these things.
We should start a vigilante club and rescue all these old trucks from the old navy stores. We could drop through the ceilings, take the trucks apart in the store and remove them piece by piece. Mission Impossible style. We wont touch the clothes or the money. And we will replace the trucks with 1985 4 cylinder mustangs or pintos. Keep in mind that when the company that put those trucks together did so, they were putting them together to use as clothing racks, not road vehicles.
I admit they do look cool.
