For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 275 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 275 | I took this picture around the end of march. The 56 is a big back window but a guess it was broken at one time and the previous owner rigged something up to close off the hole. The other truck is a 46 thats in real nice shape just waiting for the day that it can get a motor transplant and a brake job. Hope you guys enjoy the pic. I always like to see old sheetmetal waiting for the day it can hit the road again. http://community.webshots.com/mypho...=2440949160085718485&security=RYIiGw

Makes me yearn for spring.
BTW, I believe that what you've got there is a 55 not a 56... the front emblem on a 56 has long wings at the bottom and the front fender emblem sits above the horizontal crease. Those are the big changes from 55.5 & 56.... | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 275 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 275 | Thank's for the info Larry Bear. I never know what was the diffirence between the 55 to the 56. Someone just told me it was a 56 so I believed them.
The snow is all gone now and I'm going to pull my drivers out of storage this weekend. I guess up north we're a little behind you guys down south.

Your VIN number should also give you more info as well. If you click on "MyTruck" below in my signature you can see my 56 and what I'm talking about....
We're bouncing back and forth between wanna-be-spring and end of winter here. It'll be here soon enough. | | |
