I took this picture around the end of march.

The 56 is a big back window but a guess it was broken at one time and the previous owner rigged something up to close off the hole. The other truck is a 46 thats in real nice shape just waiting for the day that it can get a motor transplant and a brake job.

Hope you guys enjoy the pic. I always like to see old sheetmetal waiting for the day it can hit the road again.

Highwayman, send those trucks down here to me in the deep South. At least they will be out of the snow. :p

Great pic Highwayman! Makes me yearn for spring.

BTW, I believe that what you've got there is a 55 not a 56... the front emblem on a 56 has long wings at the bottom and the front fender emblem sits above the horizontal crease. Those are the big changes from 55.5 & 56....

Thank's for the info Larry Bear. I never know what was the diffirence between the 55 to the 56. Someone just told me it was a 56 so I believed them.

The snow is all gone now and I'm going to pull my drivers out of storage this weekend. I guess up north we're a little behind you guys down south.

Yeah that's the only difference between the years so it's easy to get confused. Your VIN number should also give you more info as well. If you click on "MyTruck" below in my signature you can see my 56 and what I'm talking about....

We're bouncing back and forth between wanna-be-spring and end of winter here. It'll be here soon enough.
