I am restoring a '53 GMC 1/2 ton and am trying to repair an oil leak at the rear of the 4speed transmission. Does anyone know where you can get a seal for this transmssion and how it can be replaced?

hey John! welcome to the garage - these guys can help , and as that SM420 was used for quite a few years, you may even be able to find parts at NAPA or such

keep us up on yer resto progress! you could even send some pics to the editor to include in the gallery
