Can anyone give me dates for this 270 GMC-Engine no. 270I22734.

The block casting no. is 2135412, which covers,as far as I can tell, 1946-54 but I'd like to nail it down.The decoders I've tried haven't helped.

B.T.W. Gas just reached $1.74/litre here at the local pump the other day eek
