Has anyone ever done a Ford Lincoln Versallis rear end on a 57 Chevy truck? I am wondering what your outside hub to hub width was on the rear end, also what your tire size and rim width was and how it all fit within the Chevy fender wells. I really like the 9" rear end with the stock disc brakes. But I'm trying to figure out what width to look for. My stock Chevy rear end is 61" hub to hub. I don't have my final tires and rims yet, Thanks for any help! David

There are several sites that give dimensions, one is: http://www.teufert.net/other/rear%20end%20dimensions.htm

I forgot to add--a versaille is considered a granada in parts list, since that's what it was. A few granadas can be found with the rear discs but most had drums.

Im not sure of the length of a 9 in but I have a 70s nova rearend and it fits nicely. I have 15x8 american torque thrust IIs in front and back with plenty of clearance. Good luck. Oh yeah mines a 57 also.

Dave, this link takes you to a collection of articles regarding IFS and rear end conversions. The 4th paragraph down tells of a guy that put one in a '56 Chevy Truck. Good luck.
