As you might be able to tell, I'm on vacation this week, and working on a ton of stuff
It's a 4 bbl rochester carb, stock, off an 85.
Say you're looking from the front of the truck, directly at the carb. there are 2 "plates" that rotate. The back plate is larger, with the letter "A" on one side. This plate, when the engine is cool, is shut (at 0 degrees).
The front plate, however, is always open, at (or near) 90 degrees. Is this always supposed to be open? In the picture I've attached at the bottom, the situation is the same as mine, and not sure if it's right or not. Thanks guys (hopefully this will solve the gas mileage problem a little)
