For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 285 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 285 | My truck turns 50 this year, so thought it would be neat to get a photo at the local Chevy Dealer, of it sitting next to a new, Black SSR. The dealer president was more than receptive to my request to film the cars for a "Then & Now" picture. He called today to tell me he will have a new SSR all shined up and ready at noon tomorrow, and I can come buy and take all the pictures I want. (I will provide him with a nice framed photo for his office). This will be a great opportunity to get the photo's I want. Anyone done this before? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | a few years ago the local Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealer had an aniversary and invited all the local vintage Pontiac/Buick/GMC's to join in - the only GMC's around were my 46 dumper and another guys 57 burb, but there was one old Buick and a couple Pontaics as well as other makes - kinda fun to let folks wander around and compare the old and new got some pics around, but can't find'em off hand Bill | | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 703 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 703 | Brian,
I can't remember who's it was, nor have I found it in a quick search, but it seems to me there was a picture in the gallery of a 53 5-window and a black SSR.
I have a print of the pic. The AD looks to be a grey cab with a black bed, hood, and fenders. It also has some time of service station or ? emblems on the side.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else, do you know who's it might be, so Brian can find it? | | |
