Does a 62 chevy truck have coil springs or leaf? I have a 66 and it has coil but was wondering about a 62 my 52 has leaf springs. Thanks in advance for your help.

Chevy came with coils and had an option for leaves.
GMC's came with leaves and had an option for coils.
Probably is coil. Is it a half ton?

Correct me if I'm worng.

Actualy guys I believe the stock suspension for 60-63 was torsion bar front, coil spring rear.

60-62 was tortion bar front end. '63 switched to independent a-arm front end. Yer right about coil spring rear.

My 61 has rear coils. I am going to be getting rid of them soon in favor of a set with about a 3 inch drop. Would the leaf option have been on the heavier service trucks?
