Hi guys.
I have a 53 3100 with what I believe is a 1960 235 (if my casting number translations are correct). I currently have a leaky auto-choke BC model that I'd like to replace with a model B manual choke. I have two model B’s but unfortunately the throttle bodies won’t mount up to the intake (the intake studs are slightly wider). Any one know if there is a 1960 throttle body out there that will mate this up, or am I looking at getting another carburetor all together?
Thanks much,
-cj

The acceleration linkage is similar, so just get a round file and open up the holes a little to fit. Easy one.

It may come to that. I was hoping they might have used the same carb in 1960 so that the set up wouldn’t look like I had to make it fit. I had Napa, Carquest, and Schucks digging through their parts books yesterday...no avail. Their answer seems to be one of replacement over repair. Where have all the old parts guys gone? wink

Why not take the throttle off the BC and put it on the B. If I recall correctly, the vacuum passages all line up correctly.
