| | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,554 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,554 | Got my project started yesterday.took the bed off of my 55,2nd.I am going to install new suspension in the rear,new springs,shocks,mounts,shackles,etc.And also flipping the rearend.I lowered it about three yrs. ago by just taking leaves out of the springs,but I think this will be a better system and give it a little better ride.I have the system from TCI ,complete with sway bar.Guess the next step will be to read the instuctions,before I start grinding off rivets.One good thing is,I have a few months to get the job done.Glad I installed the woodstove in the shop. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 990 Member | | Member Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 990 | I dooooooo like that yellow truck. I put it on my 57 and it was straightforward install. Got it mounted but have to caulk/paint tomorrow as I ran out of light. I had to drive about 60 miles north of dallas to get the stuff. Nobody around here stocks the stuff, and its weird, since almost every house in my 'hood has some. I could have ordered it and waited for a few daze, but I am too impatient for that. | | |
