I think the old Alternator is going bad. Is there anything special i have to do? it has been converted to 12 volts. Can I go to the auto parts store and pick one up.

Their is a method to test your alternator on the truck. If you go to a big box auto store, I think they can test it too. If you have an EXTERNAL regulator, there are options available to make the charging system simpler to manage, and the options are probably as cheap or cheaper than an external system. Ask some questions...you might want to slip over to the electrical forum. wink
