I picked up an outside sunvisor for my pickup at a swap meet a few months ago. The visor was advertised to fit my year of truck (1952 half ton), but was also missing some parts. This is the old style visor, not the aftermarket fulton style. Does anyone know of a reference for information on how these visors are constructed and how to install them properly? I have struck out here so far trying to locate any info on the exterior sunvisors. Also wondering if the visors for passenger cars were inter-changeable with pickups during that time period? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide.

I am interested in visors also. I have a AD truck and have watched E-bay for these items on and off. The '52 has the two piece windshield, visors AND parts are quite abundant for this style truck. There are also aftermarket NEW ones available.

I think the roof line of the car was much less steep in the attachment area than the pickup. I am not sure, but I don't think they will interchange.

There is a member of this forum that is visor-wise...he will probably be along shortly to answer your questions with authority.

I think if you look in the tech tips, you might find installation instruction. I know I have seen them for the Fulton brand on several sites on the web.

Where would one smell up a GM visor for a 55/1st truck...for under $500 clams? I have tried the Arizona Desert, but can't get a picture or a price!

where in the desert have you looked? i could use a good excuse to drive out to casa grande (hidden valley). i don't know if they had any visors sitting around but when i was out there last time it really wasn't what i was looking for. let me know if you want me to do some reconnaissance work for you...
