on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 288 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 288 | My vent window saga continues on my 55.1. Along the vent window frame there used to be a piece of weatherstrip held on by rivets. Can this part be ordered? My truck has just the metal piece held on by the rivets, I have to believe there is a way to replace this piece of weather strip.
Thanks, Chris

Check with Chevy Duty or LMC. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. If you do order from Chevy Duty, would you let them know that you came from The Stovebolt Page. I know they get mentioned a LOT in here and we just yesterday asked if they would donate a prize to the It Ran 2005 contest.
I'm curious to see if they'll respond.
We certainly send them enough business.
Thanks, Peg

I didn't see that sold individually so I ordered a complete vent window assembly weatherstripping kit, which came with the piece I needed.
I figured I may as well replace all the weather stripping while I am at it.

This is especially true for 55.1 truck owners. They don't reply to email and the people who answer the phone know nothing useful. Jim Carter's business at oldchevytrucks.com has by far the best catalog and he is a patient, honest and extremely knowledgeable man.
