I just purchased a 62 Chevy LWB and a week later the master cylinder went out. I would like to swap to a more updated dual resivouir. Is there something that swaps in with only minor fabrication? Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 800 | That dual reservoir is not what you think. It's one side for brakes, and the other side for the hydraulic clutch. You can probably pick a brand new replacement at Napa for short money. Or you can start to hack and thrash and have non driveable truck for a lot longer period of time. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 3 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 3 | I would like to have a dual res, just in case of a wheel cylinder failure. Not interested in a hyd clutch. Just a standard type dual res mc. I realize I will have to route a new junction block and a couple of new lines. Im more concerned with getting the rod to work. | | |
