The 261 has large hoses and connections to a filter mounted on the manifold. I currently have a beehive oil filter on my 235 (small line connections) that I'd like to reuse when I get the 261 back from the machine shop. Am I going to have problems by restricting the oil flow in and out of the engine/filter? FYI. The guy I got my complete 261 from has more located outside of Spalding, NE. Not cheap. Mine was $300 including an hr. of labor and a man with a torch and a tractor with a front-end loader. Not stuck, still contained oil and antifreeze (not mixed with each other  | | |

Can anyone explain why the behive canister will not work with a full-flow 261 (I know it will not work - I tried but it gave no oil pressure - maybe because I was using the smaller diameter oil lines with adapters into the block).
