I'm not sure the AD carrier will work on your 41. Originals are hard to find and if you do find one they fetch a pretty penny. Jim Carter has a repro one in their catalog, It's kind of high dollar also.
Some people put on a side mount or do without. Or you could do what I did and cobble up one from a modern junkyard crank-up model. I think mine came from a Mazda pu. It works fine.

I know the under bed spare tire carrier was available in 39&40, although they are somewhat different than the carriers used from 41-50. Prior to that time the spare was mounted in front fender wells on the passenger side. The under hung spare tire mounts for the early trucks are as rare as chiken lips. The only one I have seen is the one I have. The device has a two parts. I have seen several of the bed mount parts, but the underhung part that holds the tire up under the bed is tough to find.

Who knew the were worth anything? I gotta stop doing stuff like that. I have allways hated those things because you have to crawl under to get the spare off.
