I believe a K10 is a 1/2 ton and a K20 is either a 3/4 or 1 ton.

"K" means 4 wheel drive. "10" is 1/2 ton, "20" is 3/4 ton, and so on.

The 1960-1966 Chev/GMC Factory Assembly Manual has an abundance of information regarding VIN's and their significance to the vehicle they are attached to. I bought mine from Chevy Duty (chevyduty.com), however I see them on eBay frequently for about $20-$25. This manual addresses many of these questions. I have found them to be very valuable in finding out information specific to my VIN's. I hope this helps.
