I'd love to see a pic of it.Our 59 is a long bed small back window with just the script "fleetside" on the bed....I've only seen one pic of other trim on the bed, and we would love to find that for ours. do you have a source or did yours come with it? btw we applaud your dedication to the local "team" Jeff&Karen

The stainless side bed trim is very rare, very expensive if you can find it. I'm not aware of anyone reproducing it today. I have seen individual pieces come up on e-bay on occasion. The stainless cab trim is much more common but most trucks were for work and had no extra trim.

Just for fun I looked up the production numbers for my Chevelle 4D hardtop and found that it's one of 2,650 cars produced with model number 135397. Now one must wonder how many more are left and how many have less than 29,000 miles. http://community.webshots.com/user/wheelnut46 I know, its still a 6 cylinder 4 door car. I like it.

This site is absolutely the best place to talk old trucks and I'm sure has more people viewing and discussing these trucks than anywhere else. With that said, I'd like to ask you all if you would respond if you have a '58 or '59 with the options I have on my truck so at least I might get an idea of how many are actively being restored or driven and enjoyed at present. My specs: '59 shortbed, fleetside, BBW, Deluxe cab(ss trim)with visor and stainless trim (Arrows) on the bed sides. Thanks!
