1955 1st GMC Suburban | 1954 GMC 250 trailer puller project | 1954 GMC 250 Hydra-Matic | 1954 Chevy 3100 . 1947 Chevy COE | and more... It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble... | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 5 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 5 | it says '9300' on the grill above the bumper. front and center. so if it is a canadian model how do i find info on it? were 9300's only made until '54? | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 22 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 22 | GM of Canada has a Vintage Vehicle Service that can provide info on your truck. I've noticed that there are some differences between U.S. and Canadian models, at least in the books. My '52 model 1434 (Chevy 1-ton) has 11-leaf rear springs and 6-leaf auxiliaries, whereas the U.S. model has 8-leaf mains and (I think) 5-leaf auxiliaries. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | Mark - 9300 is the 'generic' ½T series designation used for GMCs in Canada at least til 59, and there's not that much difference from the US model, except engine could have had either a 235 or 265[283] - a pu would be a model 9314 in 57 I believe
