Any chance somebody out there can get me the dimension of the dash openings for '47-'53 gauge clusters? My '54 dash was butchered (center cut out between the two openings), so I'm having a custom insert made and thought seeing as how the earlier clusters are about $200 cheaper I'd go that route.

A lot of new members, I walked away from advising after taking a lot of flak and BS from people who aren't here anymore. If you have a look at my website it explains what these are from and how easy it is to replace your old AD gauges with them. That picture is of course reverse positioning and was corrected when I finished them up. I've been peeking in the window of Chevy trucks trying to find one that has all four gauges in a round dial. I hate to waste the entire slot for just a fuel gauge. I wonder how many of those guys had a competitive brand rear end in their pride and joy...
