NYT Article

Interesting,
John

uhhhhhhhhhh, yer a journalist? i figured you for a grease monkey with a computer fetish. grin the article does point out 1 thing that i had posted a topic about in a previous life. while this guy is 109, most of the actual builders of our old iron have passed on. an old guy who lived up the road from me worked at janesville assembly many years ago, and remembered "new" stovebolts. he died over a year ago. i miss him hanging around my garage making "puppy dog eyes" at the cabover, and grinnin' like a kid in a candy store when i fired it off. the point? well, there's a shrinking pool of knowledge, especially firsthand knowledge, about our trucks. better we keep this resourse (the bolt page) up and runnin', and better we keep and share the knowledge we have, or maybe one day the questions we will no doubt have, will go unanswered.

in other words, thanks mom and dad for putting up with us all. maybe the website is some sort of hobby, but it sure has become a useful one.

can i have the keys to the truck? i'll be home by 11. (not) wink
