Okay,

I have found a stovebolter with 5 lug front drums and everything from a 39 half ton. I am swapping rear ends and converting to 5 lug. Will these 39 half ton parts swap out on my 55.1?

I have pictures, just email me if you want to see the 39 1/2 ton parts.

Thanks,
Chris

The '39 had six-lugs when it was new. The answer is probably yes you can swap, but without knowing exactly what he has it's difficult to say with certainty.

In the 70's I used early 50's Chevy car hubs to convert the front of my '41 Chevy pickup to five-lugs. Its not hard, but why not convert to front disks if you are going to do all that work?

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...
