Does anyone know where to buy a 5 ribbed bumper. I have seen many custom "aluminum usually" ribbed or 5-ribbed bumpers but don't know where to look at them on the net. I know someone is building them new but don't know where. I would like to have one on my AD.

"Briz" is the manufacturer of a copy of the '37 DeSoto ribbed bumper.
Nice bumper for the '30's and '40's cars.
The '49 Plymouth is nice for the early '50's cars.
The guy that started the company is a long time Slow Pok from the Vancouver WA., Mark "Briz" Brizlow. He has since passed it onto a partner who just sold it to his son. The bumpers are solid extruded 6063 aluminum alloy that is flat on the back and ribbed on the front. (The look is simular to the classic ribbed DeSoto bumper). They cut the blank and bend it to fit the different appications. The bumpers are shipped fully polished. The young guy that is now running the shop, on weekends, is a traditional hot rodder and a good craftsman.

That is it!! Thanks alot Frank! Briz bumpers. An ole' boy here in Texas has a 37' chevy truck with one on it, that is the name he told me and said Washington too. I am gonna contact him and check on one for my AD. I think it would look pretty cool. Man those bumpers are real pretty, I think it is the aluminum as much as anything. The bumper bolts in the one I saw were oval shaped, looked great. Thanks, Rod

You might look in Chevy Duty and LMC. I have a buddy here in town that has ribbed bumpers on his 50 pickup and he got them from one of those specifically for his truck. I can ask him if that will help. Just let me know.
