can water pumps on a 1950 chevy 3100 be rebuilt? Of course it is a 216 early engine. does it take special tools or equipment? thanks

It could be done with a press. Parts would be hard to find. You can buy one for $25. It wouldn,t pay to fool with it.

Yes they can be rebuilt. I believe that the shop manual goes over this in detail. ( I don't have my manual with me to verify. You will need a press to rebuild your pump.
