I obviously live close to work. I was also out-of-state for about 3 months or it would have been more.
Thanks for all your help!!!! 1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.

We are hip deep in snow and I would drive my 59 Apache the year round if it wasn't for all the salt they put on the roads. They started mixing molasses with the salt to get it stick to the roads better [and not have to use as much salt]I think it makes it stick to the vehicles better too!!! I envy you! | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 27 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 27 | Its all give and take. I used to live back east and have seen how bad salt is for a rig. But now that I live in Montana there is much less salt. Instead they just spread gravel. I have never seen so many chiped and cracked windshields as around here. | | |
