| | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 96 Member | | Member Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 96 | As some of you know the 61 1/2 tons had a torsion bar front suspension. I have seen kits out for air bagging a 63 up. I was talking to a friend and he suggested air bagging the truck. The plus sides to this were:
1) Adjustable ride height
2) Smoother ride
3) Hauling stuff you just pump up the psi and off you go.
My original plan was to buy lowering springs for the rear and I have seen a way to lower the torsion bar front suspension. So my question is do I have to get a new front clip to support the front airbags or is there away to get airbags in the front? If I can’t use what front clip would I have to use. I would like power steering and disc brakes up front. Has anybody done this before?
