i have a "52 chevy here
i need new springs and i am having tough time tracking some down.
i say it may be a '51 because when i redid the brakes we found that the front end is '49 - '51, the frame is welded together, i guess it was in a wreck at some point.

any ideas?

Try www.chevyduty.com. They might have what you need. wink To compare prices, also check www.americanclassic.com, as they again may have what you want. (Nice looking truck!)

You can also try a local spring shop, usually one that works on trucks can make a set.

Very cool! Would love to see more photo's. Reminds me of what the milk would have been delivered in, before my time smile Do you plan on restoring to original look?

thanks for all the suggestions, i will resume my search this weekend!
the closest spring shop is an hour and 1/2 away and they want to have the springs in their hands to make another set, this is my only vehicle so that option is out.
krissly - yes i am working on restoring it to nearly original, not quite so spartan on the inside tho' my family wants to ride in comfort. after the springs is the body work, she lists to port (or starboard - passenger side) i had the indignity of being rear-ended by a beetle bak in '89.
so after the new springs i'll know for sure how far she leans because of springs and how far she leans because of a possible frame problem.
